The weather here has been unseasonably warm and that has made for much outdoor activity as well as not much else getting accomplished. On Sunday, we visited a friend’s house that has 9 Rottweiler puppies that are entirely too cute for words. Hubby is not exactly a dog person but I don’t want the kids to be afraid of dogs so whenever they have the opportunity to encounter animals I try to encourage it. Of course, I love puppy smell so not only did I visit on Sunday but again on Tuesday. 🙂
While returning home from their house on Sunday, hubby saw a home for sale and I looked up more info and that led us to go see the house on Monday and he (read we) are seriously considering putting an offer on it and that would involve putting our home on the market. The house is a tad smaller than ours but it has more land which has been a desire of ours plus the huge detached garage is more like a carriage house and would provide more space for our home church. Of course it is all in God’s hand but we do solicit your prayers for wisdom. We have thought of renting our home, but that can be more than we want being that we already rent our townhome and of course the home would be much more $$$$.
Putting our house on the market would be the handful reference above being that with little people, trying to keep a house in “show” condition is definitely not something that I feel ready for….we had our house on the market almost 2 years ago and I tell ya, it was an experience. People make appointments and do not show up, keeping toys/laundry all up and taken care of daily, the quick run through cleaning for that impromptu walkthru and now factor in keeping my craft area clean….Lord, give me strength. 😀
The weather is suppossed to start to change a bit and head more towards normal for January so I will be forced to stay in and start the process of simplifying. The last time we had our home on the market, it was a major catalyst for us to get rid of things that really did not serve a purpose so maybe that will be the case this time around as well, at least one can dream. 🙂
