Pay It Forward Friday

Yeah, today is Friday!!! This has been a weird week for me in so many ways and I am thankful for all the words of encouragement and support. I think it is important to keep things in perspective and that has been helpful as I found myself at a point where too many roads where interesecting and future direction was unclear and unfamiliar.

Even when we do not know what is ahead, it is important to keep going as we trust and believe.

As a way of saying thank you, I would like to join in the different pay it forward memes that are out there and because I was one on Ali’s blog, I am passing it on this Friday. The first 10 people that comment here TODAY will receive something handmade from me within the next 6 months. If you are wondering why such a big number, that would be my silliness for asking a 5 year old to pick a # between 1 and 10 and being the Princess & Star that she is, she picked 10. πŸ™‚

I don’t know what you will receive or when but it will be within the next 6 months. If I don’t receive 10 comments, then those that do comment will receive something extra special. πŸ˜€ I would appreciate it if you would keep it going by doing the same on your blog and it doesn’t have to be something handmade nor do you have to choose 10 people, it is the principle of paying it forward that is important. Remember it is better to give than to receive. πŸ˜‰

Thanks for reading and sharing your souls with me as we journey through life.

oh, and do I offer the payitforward now or after I get goodies?

  2. Too cool. I like this idea. And the 6 months is just long enough to forget and then be surprised! Woohoo!

  3. Wow- you really don’t have to send me anything. I just wanted to finally get out of “lurkdom” (LOL) and tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog. I was intrigued on what this “Pay It Forward Friday” meme is. I know what PIF is, but have never seen it in a blog. How does it work?

Thanks so much for writing from the heart. πŸ™‚

  4. What a wonderful way to say thank you! Just sharing yourself and your heart is enough, my dear!!! I am glad that you are feeling better, and felt all the love and support from blogland when you needed it!

    YOu are a treasure!

  5. Thanks everyone that has responded, I am officially cutting it off here so you will receive an email from me soon.

I did try to close the comments over the weekend, something strage was happenning, so I reopened them for general comments but I am no longer adding anyone to the list of recipients.

Have a great one and do your own pay it forward, you never know how you might impact someone’s day.

  6. We moved into a new neighbourhood a few years ago and there are 5 ladies (including myself) that have been kind of “paying it forward” to the rest of our neighbours. One neighbour that had just moved in – had a new baby – so we all cooked a meal that could be frozen and sent them over to her………another house had grass that was 4 feet tall – so we all went over and cut, weeded, hoed, planted and made the yard look beautiful (we called ourselves the Green Glove brigade” that day. ) In August we had a Canadian Idol contest where we had a potluck talent evening and we even bought an oscar-like trophy to hand out to the winner. Now, the neighbours want this to be a yearly event……paying it forward in your neighborhood……building a sense of community in the “hood”……..reaching out and touching lives – what fun!

  7. I am new to your blog but love what I have read so far. I aspire to be crafty but never quite attain that goal.
